Breaking news from Prague...

This just in from our reporter in the field at International Baptist Theological Seminary (who somehow hacked into Cheryl's blog to post this story there...).

This morning, Peter underwent an oral examination (viva voce) to defend his dissertation toward a PhD in theology. The conversation was productive and, in the end, the examiners were satisfied with the overall quality of the work under scrutiny as doctoral level research. Direction was given to Peter for several points in the dissertation needing revision and/or correction, an outcome typical of most oral examinations. Once these revisions are completed and approved (within the next few months?), then the degree can be awarded.

In the post-viva interview, Peter expressed his genuine appreciation for all those who have supported him along this academic journey. In the heat of the moment, he also engaged in additional vacuous sports-talk, which the reporter can pretty well sum up as “Blah, blah, blah...”

Back to you in the studio.

Hey Peter! Well done! Hope you've not been too cold there in Prague.
Guess we have to call you Dr. Peter now :-)
