I need your help!!!

Here is the good news: I have more opportunities in the coming year to teach in a variety of areas and venues. It looks like I will be a guest lecturer at Mindolo, teaching alongside Peter in the Peace Center. I have three courses to teach, the first being on trauma awareness and counseling which is already developed pretty well, but the other two courses are new to me: Gender and Conflict; Communication Skills for Conflict Resolution (I have taught this to clients and at IBTS way back). I also continue to develop mental health and peace curriculum for schools, with a new subject introduced each term.

Here is the bad news: The resources that I had developed since graduate school all disappeared with my laptop and backup drive that was stolen last June. We have access to very few resources and the internet here is beyond slow making research on the world wide web an exercise in patience.

Here is how you can help me: I know many of you are teachers, therapists, psychologists, ministers, parents, managers, administrators, and who knows what else, and have information you can pass on to me. Please, please, please, if you have any resources that you can send my way, I would be most appreciative.

Here are the subjects on which I will be teaching:

  1. Conflict Resolution for kids ages 5-12.
  2. Anger management for teenagers. Teens scare me, to be frank. I have limited experience with them. What makes teens angry? I need case examples or anecdotes to go with the lessons.
  3. Gender and Conflict: This may include gender-based violence, stereotypes and gender roles, patriarchy, cross-cultural issues, etc.
  4. Communication Skills: reflective listening, nonverbal communication, fighting fair, role plays, exercises, case studies, etc.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
